Thanks to many tourist paths and a connection to Tatranská Lomnica (elevated wireway) it is visited by a lot of tourists in summer as well as in winter. It is created by a craggy basin with an impressive ending - the Lomnický Peak, Kežmarský Peak and Huncovský Peak.

The very first tourist shelter was built here in 1915. Today tourists can use the Skalnatá chata (Rocky Chalet) and a refreshment in the building of the elevated-wireway station. On the slope of the Huncovský štít (Huncovský Peak), there is an astronomical Observatory of the Slovak Academy of Science. There are no tourist paths at the end of the valley, except of the Skalnaté sedlo (Rocky Saddle) respectively the Veľká Lomnická Veža (Big Lomnická Tower) - accessible only by elevated-wireway!

The most attractive for tourists is the elevated-wireway going up to the Lomnický Peak (the second highest peak in the High Tatras) - with refreshment, meteorological station and a scientific station of the Slovak Academy of Science for the research of the sun corona. Thanks to the slope below the Lomnické Saddle and the rally down to the Tatranská Lomnica is the Craggy Mountain-lake an important ski-center in winter as well as in spring. From the valley you can take the elevated-wireway and get to the Lomnické Saddle.
STARTING POINT: Tatranská Lomnica (the green marked path).
